There is no specific legislation concerning remote working in Finland. The employer and the employee can agree on remote work, but, as a general rule, the employer is not entitled to order employees to work remotely unilaterally.
The employee is not entitled to work remotely without the employer’s consent. There is no statutory requirement for the employer to pay additional compensation to employees who work remotely..
