At Oyster, it’s our mission to create a more equal world by making it possible for companies everywhere to hire people anywhere.

Our mission is extremely important to our team here at Oyster, and it’s baked into everything we do. That’s why we’re so excited to announce our new initiative, Oyster for Impact, fueled by a strategic investment from HR Tech Investments, an affiliate of Indeed, and PayPal Ventures.

Oyster for Impact is a program designed to help mission-driven companies build thriving distributed teams and have an impact on the world. The program is now open to certified nonprofits and benefit corporations across the globe, and offers members a discount on Oyster’s global employment products, free enrollment in our educational program, Oyster Academy, and unique opportunities to showcase their work at Oyster’s annual conference, Ascent.

On top of that, Oyster for Impact members gain access to a network of globally distributed mission-driven companies, where they can share knowledge, build relationships, and collaborate with other impact-oriented organizations.

The launch of Oyster for Impact is the latest milestone in our mission to close the global opportunity gap by enabling companies everywhere to employ people anywhere. This pursuit will be accelerated by our newly announced strategic investment from HR Tech Investments, an affiliate of Indeed and PayPal Ventures. These investments are an extension of our recent Series B funding round, bringing total funding raised to date to over $75M.

The Oyster team is especially excited to welcome HR Tech Investments, an affiliate of Indeed, and PayPal Ventures as investors because these two global organizations share our vision for a future of equal opportunities for everyone, everywhere.

With the launch of Oyster for Impact, our aim is to help more impact-driven organizations gain uninhibited access to the global talent pool and build teams that are distributed, dynamic, and dedicated to their company’s mission.

Eligible companies can enrol in Oyster for Impact by visiting oysterhr.com/oyster-for-impact and providing a copy of their 501(c)(3) determination letter, benefit corporation certification, or equivalent documentation by December 31, 2021. Once your application is approved, you’ll be able to access discounts when you engage Oyster’s services in top hiring destinations!
